Green City Market Tour — 8/13/25 Live Event

Green City Market has been blazing trails in the Chicago region farmers market community since its founding in 1999, defining the Chicago foodshed, emphasizing sustainable farming practices, and leading on expanding access to healthy and delicious local food for those facing food insecurity.

Naturally Chicago invites you to join us — and Letisha "Tish" Steele, Green City's new executive director — for an up-close look at the market and its vendors. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 13 at the Market's flagship location in Chicago's Lincoln Park (1817 N. Clark Ave.), beginning at 9 a.m.

And we are thrilled that the tour will also Jason Hammel, founder/owner of Chicago’s renowned Lula Cafe and a James Beard Award winner with longstanding ties to Green City Market.

Tickets for the tour are $25 with all proceeds going to the non-profit Green City Market. Capacity for the event is very limited, so reserve your space now!
