Picture This: A Look Inside Our Lively and Popular Morning Mingle

At our June Morning Mingle, Naturally Chicago CEO Jim Slama introduced Jack Joseph and Kiara Tomirotti, the married couple who founded and run RMBR — the Chicago-based kombucha company that won our 2026 Pitch Slam.

The very first Naturally Chicago event, in May 2019, was a Morning Mingle. Our community loved these events and there was always a buzz in the room has attendees caught up with old friends, made new friends, and in some cases met future business partners.

The first Morning Mingles era came to a crashing halt in March 2020, as the COVID pandemic made such gatherings impossible for well more than a year. By the time society re-opened, Naturally Chicago was heavily engaged in presenting webinars, which we began just a month into the crisis (and which we continue to air now).

As a result, Morning Mingles went on a long hiatus until last fall, when we piloted a couple of return events. And these events again proved so full of energy that we brought them back this fall on a monthly schedule.

But it’s one thing to tell you that and it’s a better thing to show you visually why Mingles are a good time for all.
